CHARLOTTE - Mr. Allen Russell Blakely, 83, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022.

Graveside services, with military honors, will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, 1504 West Sugar Creek Road, Charlotte, NC.

Allen was born October 9, 1939 in Mecklenburg County, NC and was the son of the late Andrew Mack and Irene Stikeleather Blakely. He was a 1958 graduate of Central High School and a U. S. Air Force Veteran. Allen retired from the United States Postal Service as well as Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.

He is survived by his wife, Janean; sons, Andrew Blakely of Rockwell, NC and Mark Lackey of Wolf Laurel, NC; sister, Diana Duffy of Menefee, CA; and 4 grandchildren.
