Barbara Jean Hardee, 70, of Concord, passed away early Thursday morning, January 5, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge W. Hardee. Barbara was born in Waxhaw, North Carolina, and raised in Charlotte. For twenty-four years, she made a career in transportation and during that time period became owner of her own business. Barbara will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. Her immediate family includes her children, David Scott Hardee of Gaffney, South Carolina, Kathy Hardee Hammonds( Lacy) of Concord, North Carolina, Tammie Hardee of Gaffney, South Carolina, Candy Dill of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Mariana Griffin of Harrisburg, North Carolina; her brother, Wayne Pickett of Harrisburg, North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Jimmie Hammonds, Bobby Hammonds, Dustin Griffin, Christopher Griffin, Ryan Griffin, Austin Griffin, B.J. Griffin, and Chaz Dill. -
