She was diagnosed with cancer over a year ago but after chemotherapy she was pronounced healthy and cancer free. She was encouraged to have immunotherapy with a new drug, Jemperli. After 2 treatments she developed flu-like symptoms along with other problems. The drug attacked and inflamed her healthy organs and cells. She was admitted to the hospital and spent over a month being treated as her organs failed one after the other. She did not survive.

She worked for 24 years at the District Attorney's office as a legal assistant, She worked at home during chemotherapy treatments and when she returned to work she kept her own hours sometimes arriving after 10 am which earned her a "Tardy to the Party" award. But she always stayed late and never missed a day.
She loved her pug, Sam.and during her stay in the hospital he was her incentive for returning home. She did return for a short time but unfortunately she succumbed to multiple organ failure on the morning of March 18th.
