Bruce was born April 6, 1951, in Williamson County, Illinois. he was the son of the late William Hollis Dial and Ruth Naydean Harris Dial. His immediate family includes his wife, Linda Bailey Dial; his son, David Bruce Dial and his wife, Madeleine; his brother, Mark Eugene Dial and his wife, Laura; and three grandchildren, Copeland Bruce Dial, Catherine Brennagh Dial, and Caedmon Hunter Dial. -
