Carl Barton Cafferello, 60, died suddenly on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

The family chose to have a private viewing and a cremation followed. A celebration of Carl’s  life will take place in the near future and the time and venue will be announced when confirmed.

Family and friends are comforted to know Carl is with his merciful Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Carl is healthy again. A native of Charlotte, NC, he was born January 22,1961, the son of the late Carolyn S. Cafferello and George M. Cafferello Sr.

Carl is survived by daughter, Carly A. Cafferello of Atlanta Georgia; step-daughter, Katie Park of Wilmington NC; brother, George M. “Marty” Cafferello, Jr. and fiancé, Kellie Sloop; sister, Cynthia C. “Cis” Lyerly and husband, Tommie; nephew, Josh Lyerly and wife, Julie; great-nieces, Taylor Lyerly and Bailey Lyerly; and great-nephew, Reed Lyerly.

Carl loved to cook, bowl, fish and was an avid sports “Go Heels” fan. He loved all genres of music and everyone that knew him also knew he was an incredible dancer. He was witty, kind hearted, and was always the life of every party. Carl will be missed by his family and a multitude of friends. To know Carl was to “Love Carl”! Rest In Peace. We will see you again.
