Christopher Arthur Knudsen-Spangler, March 1, 2002 – Sept 11, 2021
Chris, our son, our brother, our grandson left us unexpectedly on the morning of September 11. We are stunned beyond belief. But in our grief, we would like to share a few things about Chris. He loved his car, which he kept squeaky clean. He was very active and extremely focused on his health. He loved his guitars, gym and his electronics. He really loved music, he loved to share his favorite songs. His happy music was all by The Beatles. Chris loved to make things himself. He was always working on some piece of furniture he made himself. He loved to cook and could bake a mean loaf of bread. Meals were always special if they had been prepared by Chris.
But, beyond all that he was a great kid, he loved his family and we loved him dearly. He was compassionate and thoughtful, always finding the perfect gift for his family members. He was always willing to help and watch out for his siblings. He had a wicked sense of humor, which he sometimes used to taunt his siblings. We were so proud of him for continuing his education while working at Harris Teeter where he was recently promoted to the assistant manager of the produce department. He was already investing his money and saving for his future. Nothing in this world will ever fill the gaping hole he has left in our world.
Chris is survived by his mother, Diane Knudsen, his father, Jeffrey Spangler, his siblings Danielle and Meredith. His grandmother, Laurie Knudsen and step Grandfather Rick Atwill, His great grandmother Faye Sullivan. his Uncles and Aunts Eric and Lori Knudsen, Greg and Rebecca Knudsen, Rick and Stephanie Atwill, Dore and Willie Kesterson and cousins, Ava, Alexander, David and Emma Knudsen, Madeline and Hannah Kesterson and Lily Atwill. He was predeceased by his grandfather Arthur Ernest Knudsen. He is also survived by many great aunts uncles and cousins.
