Darryl Scott Thompson went home to the Lord on September 28, 2022, at age 67.  

He was born in Corpus Christi, Texas to Scott Samuel Thompson and Flavia Belanger Thompson. They moved to Charlotte, North Carolina for a short period of time before settling in  Midland, North Carolina.

Darryl held an unwavering faith in God, which he shared with those who surrounded him.  

Darryl joins his parents, Scott and Flavia and his son, Paul Samuel Thompson in Heaven.  

He is survived by his children, Chris Thompson (Sabrina) and Darryl Scott Thompson Jr.; and his 8 grandchildren, Summer Thompson, Hailey Thompson, Trinity Thompson, Taylor Thompson, Autumn Thompson, Mia Thompson, Marissa Clontz and Julia Thompson.

The service to celebrate his life will be held 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Hopewell Baptist Church - Legacy Campus. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service, at the church.
