John Donald "Don" Bell, 82, of Charlotte, passed away Monday evening July 10, 2017. Don was born July 8, 1935, in Gaston County, North Carolina, and was the son of the late William W. Bell and Julia Gill Bell. He is preceded in death by his son, Don Carras; sisters, Dot, Cat, and Laura. Following high school, Don served his country in the U.S. Navy and made a career in the banking industry. As a pastime he was an avid fisherman and loved to dove hunt. Don will be most remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father. His immediate family includes his wife of 57 years, Nancy Bell; his son David Michael Bell and a brother, Bud Bell. -
