Dorethea "MawMaw" Ott Shackelford, 85, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, February 4th, 2015 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville with family by her side. Dorethea was born January 11th, 1930, in Charlotte, North Carolina to Wiliam "Bill" and Pearl Ott. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church on Tuskaseegee Road in Charlotte. Dorethea is survived by her two sons, Lewis Paul Shackleford and James Curtis Shackelford, her two daughters in law Sandra Walters and Deobrah Dubose Johnson; Four Granddaughters Toni Hanna, Lisa Melendez, Nicole Priddy, and Paula Shackelford; and Eleven Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Jack Lewis Shackelford and her son William Thomas Shackelford. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Levine & Dickson Hospice House. - -
