Gary Baldwin Williams of Indian trail went home to be with Jesus on Friday January 15, 2021. He was born July 25, 1951 to Bobby Baldwin Williams and Clara Dorothy Williams. He was preceded in death by his late wife Janet Hucks Williams, brother Arthur Williams and parents.

Mr. Williams proudly served in the U.S. Army as a Sharp Shooter. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, camping, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed watching his grandson play baseball. Mr Williams retired from Overnite Transportation with 33 years of service. Gary then went to work at Wingate college for 10 years and was an avid fan of their athletic programs. 

Mr. Williams is survived by his wife Lynette Williams, Daughters Tammy Lynch(Eddie) and Lisa Caputo (Howie). Grandchildren Ashley Greene (Brandon), Brianna, Amber, and Garrett. Great grandchildren Jaxson and Addison. He is also survived by his fur baby Shelby. 

A private family service will be held on Saturday January 23, 2021 at 11:00 am at Gaskin Funeral Services in Matthews, NC. Streaming will be available at the link below on Saturday, January 23, 2021. Please check back then.
