Georgia Deaton Sloop, 90, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2013, while in the loving care of Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville. She was born May 26, 1923, in Mooresville, North Carolina, and retired as a manager in the publishing business. Her immediate family includes her son, David "Jerry" Sloop, and his wife, Vickie; two grandchildren, Alan Sloop, and his wife, Kim, and David Sloop, II, and his wife, Amy; four grandchildren, Colt, Hunter, Gracie, and Sophia Sloop. -
