Gus Demetrios Katsanos, Salisbury/Concord, N.C.

It is with a heavy heart we notify you of the passing of Gus, husband of Christine Randall, step-father of Caleb (wife Karolina) and Rory.

Gus was born on Long Island, New York in 1965, living there for the first 25 years of his life, before joining his family in Charlotte, N.C. in 1990.

His parents (predeceased) Demetrios Nicholas Katsanos and Maria Kostandino Katsanos hail from the mountains of Agia Vlacherna, Karpenissi, Greece, coming to America in 1957.

Son-in-law to Wilbur and Kathy Randall.
Brother to Foteni Delongos (husband Nick (predeceased)), Dena (husband Andy), Nick, Peter (wife Carrie), Helen (husband Kirk). Uncle to Strati, James, Jimmy, Maria, Demitria, Despina, grandniece Ava.
Nephew, cousin, best friend to many.

Gus loved to laugh, could rattle off jokes continuously as if he were performing in a comedy club. If you needed something, he would find a way to get it done. He loved his old classic cars.

Many know Gus from the Concord Family Restaurant and Amici’s Pizza where he would greet you by name and treat you like family.

May His Memory Be Eternal!
