Helen Faires Kanipe, 86, of Charlotte, passed February 25, 2013. "Grandma" was a hard worker who loved serving others; however, she always found time for gardening and baking her famous pound cakes. She is survived by her son, Lloyd A. Kanipe, Jr.; her sister, Frances F. Robinson; two grandchildren, Tanya Carlson(John), and Kristin Mullins(Connell); five great grandchildren, Jenna Carlson, Ava Grace Carlson, Walker Mullins, Hank Mullins, and Patrick Mullins. -
