James Russell Brown, Jr., 63, of Matthews, North Carolina, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Mr. Brown was born July 23, 1954, in Union, South Carolina, and was the son of the late James Russell Brown, Sr. and Juanita Burnsed Brown. Later in life, Russell moved to Mooresville, North Carolina, where he met and married Jacki Brown. For everyone who knew Russell, it was just automatic to express what a great man he was. He loved God, first, then his family, southern rock (Allman Brothers mostly), Clemson, playing music, and building relationships with new people. He made friends everywhere, there just wasn't a person he could not talk to. His immediate family includes his two sons, James (Jimmy) Russell Brown, III, and his wife, Tandi, and their children, Sky and Kiley, and Corey Parker Brown and his wife, Rosario, and their children, Hailey and Leryn; and his brother, Paul Brown. -
