Jeffrey Frank Dicus was born on December 14, 1967, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, to Ken and Jan Dicus. Surrounded by those he held most dear, Jeffrey passed away on September 28, 2026, at Atrium Health Pineville.

Jeffrey was a man who loved life, but nothing meant more to him than being a husband and father. For 30 years, he shared his life with his beloved wife, Christy, and being a father to his daughter, Savannah, was one of his greatest joys. Some of his most treasured moments were the simple ones, including taking Savannah to the library and sharing his love of reading with her.

Jeffrey loved football and was an especially devoted Carolina Panthers fan. Music was another passion, with rock and roll always being his favorite. He enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, reading, discovering new places, and simply experiencing life with the people he loved. Perhaps one of Jeffrey's greatest gifts was his sense of humor. Many who knew him described him as one of the funniest people they had ever met. He had a natural ability to make people laugh, brighten a room, and turn an ordinary moment into a memory worth keeping. And then there was DonDon. Jeffrey's love for his beloved fur baby was immeasurable. DonDon wasn't simply a pet but a cherished member of the family and held a very special place in Jeffrey's heart.

Jeffrey was preceded in death by his father, Ken Dicus, and his brother, Gregg Dicus. Left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 30 years, Christy Dicus; his beloved daughter, Savannah Dicus; his mother, Jan Dicus; his treasured fur baby, DonDon; and his dear friends, Mike Casella and Mike Thompson, two people who could always bring a smile to Jeffrey's face. He also leaves behind extended family members, friends, and all those fortunate enough to have shared in his laughter and friendship.

Jeffrey will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his humor, the music he loved, the journeys he took, and especially for the laughter and memories he leaves behind. While his absence will be deeply felt, there will always be stories to tell—and undoubtedly plenty of those stories will still make everyone laugh.
