John Wolf, 92, of Huntersville, was called home to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, September 20, 2011. John was born August 24, 1919, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was the son of John and Mary Schneider Wolf. During World War II, he served in the U. S. Navy as a Gunner's Mate. His immediate family includes his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Katherine Wolf, of Huntersville; his daughter, Linda Wolf Fleming and her husband, Rich, of Richfield, Ohio; his son, Jon Wolf, and his wife, Joan, of Charlotte; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers that memorial donations be made to Huntersville United Methodist Church.
