Lester Lee Bigham, Sr. (Lee) went home to his Lord and Savior on March 23, 2022.  He was 88 years old.    He was proceeded in death by his wife of 57 years, June, and his youngest daughter, Elizabeth Apel.  He loved Jesus and his family and prayed for each one by name every night.  He is survived by his children, Dottie and Larry Schwarz (Phoenix, AZ), Teresa and Brady Hanes (Clover, SC), Lee and Mary Bigham (Maple Grove, MN), and Lorn Apel (Budapest, Hungary); 16 grandchildren: Lacy and Jonathan Ingle, B.J. and Rachel Hanes, Seth Hanes and Amanda Costanzo, Shea and Steven Weathers, Jessan Bigham, Caleb Bigham, Joel Bigham, Micah Apel and Emily Russell, Eliza Apel, Kwar Kwar and Sa Mu Ku; and 8 great grandchildren:  Porter, Evie Grace, and Leah Hanes, Elizabeth and Emily Ingle, Flynn Weathers, Leo and Theo Moo. 

He served as a paratrooper in the US Army.  He lived in Charlotte, NC all his life.  He worked as a machinist at Holman Moody, where he enjoyed working with NASCAR people and cars, and finished his working career at Hoechst Celanese.  After retirement he and June traveled through 49 states in their motorhome, as well as traveling to Hawaii and abroad.  He enjoyed woodworking and liked to create wood projects for family and friends.  He was a life-long member of Ebenezer/Starmount Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church.
