Lillian McDaniel, 87, of Charlotte, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 1, 2023.  She was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and was a data specialist at Boise Cascade.   In her later years, she followed her passion and love for animals by raising exotic birds.  She enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Senior Center and loved spending time with her growing family.  

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Luke and Vivian Roddey; brother, David Roddey and nephew, Phil Roddey. 

She is survived by her stepson, Kenneth McDaniel II, wife, Misty and step grandson, Dayton Richardson.  She is also survived by sister-in-law, Jean Roddey; nephew, Mike Roddey and wife, Meredith; niece, Beth Bicki and husband, Jimmy; nephew, Bryan Bell and nephew, Chuck Bell and wife, Mary; and her nine great nieces and nephews and two great great niece and nephew. 

A graveside service will be held June 11, 2023 at 2:00pm at Ebenezer Cemetery in Charlotte, North Carolina.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
