Linda Davis, a beloved Real Estate Broker and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2025, at 2:22 pm at the hospice house in Union County, NC, in the company of her dear friend Zana. Born on October 7, 1943, in Mecklenburg County, Linda's life was defined by her unwavering faith and love for others.
Linda was a Godly lady, a true servant to those around her, always prioritizing the needs of others before her own. Her selflessness was a hallmark of her character, reflected in her extensive outreach and genuine care for both friends and family alike. An artist at heart, she expressed her creativity through painting, often capturing the beauty of the world through her brushstrokes.
A devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Linda's legacy of love will continue through her family for generations to come. She is survived by her son, James Edward Haynes Jr., and his wife, Sherry, grandson, James Edward Haynes III; granddaughter, Taylor Haynes Free and husband, Daniel. Great grandson Davis McMakin (dad, Jake) and Mason Free along with great grandaughter Spencer Free.

Linda is now reunited in peace with her parents, beloved husband, Ted Davis; her son, Teddy Davis; and her stepdaughter, Deidra Efird. Their memories will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved her.
Family and friends are invited to honor Linda's remarkable life at the visitation on July 22, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral service beginning at 12:00 pm. Both events will take place at McKee Road Baptist Church in Charlotte, NC. Following the service, a graveside service will be held at Sunset Memory Garden in Mint Hill, NC, at 2:00 pm.
Linda Davis leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her family and community. She will be missed dearly, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known her.
