Margie Helms, 83, of Charlotte, departed this world April 14, 2014. Margie was born and raised in Mecklenburg County. In 2001, after 30 years of service, she retired from the Frito-Lay Company. During retirement, she loved to travel and be with her family. She always looked forward to the holidays to spend time with them. Margie never met a stranger and always enjoyed meeting new people. Her immediate family includes her children, Skip Helms (Kathy) and Myra Helms; two sisters, Betty Watkins and Peggy Hudson; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. -
