Mark Stanley Bayzik, 52, of Charlotte, North Carolina,died on June 25, 2015. He was one of five children born to the late Carolyn Dudley and Stephen Bayzik of Mississauga, Ontario. Mark spent most of his youth in Ontario and obtained his degree from the University of Toronto before moving to Charlotte. He was greatly enjoyed and beloved by his family and friends, and was devoted to helping Charlotte's refugee community, especially its children. Mark was an avid reader, writer, storyteller, gardener, and wood crafter. He was also a member of the Joe Reeves Class at Christ UMC in Charlotte. He is survived by his siblings, Stephen Bayzik of Charlotte, and Susan Bayzik Lewis, Michael Bayzik, and Greg Bayzik of Duke Center, Pennsylvania. Mark was the fun-loving uncle of Colleen and Nicholas Lewis, and Kayla Bayzik. Mark's life will be celebrated and remembered in a small family ceremony.
