It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Conti, affectionately known as Mike, who left this world on November 16, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on October 18, 1961, in Buffalo, NY, Mike lived his life dedicated to the joys of family and the fulfillment of hard work, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness.
Throughout his career, Mike demonstrated an unwavering commitment to his work, spending most of his years in manufacturing. His journey eventually led him to North Carolina, where he found his calling as a manufacturing staffing recruiter. His professional life mirrored his personal values—dedication, perseverance, and an innate desire to support others.
Mike's true pride and joy, however, lay in his family. He was a loving husband to Mariola Conti, and together they built a beautiful life filled with the laughter of their children and the warmth of family bonds. He ensured that his children, Marcus and Melissa, and their families had everything they needed and more. He cherished his role as a father and grandfather, spending countless hours building things for his children and grandchildren and finding delight in fishing trips and camping adventures.
His loved ones will forever remember his compassion and unwavering spirit. Mike possessed an incredible sense of humor and was, above all, an extraordinary human being who would give to others without a second thought, expecting nothing in return. A huge Bills fan, he instilled a sense of loyalty not just for the team but for those around him, exemplifying the importance of standing by loved ones.
In his later years, Mike took immense pride in the family he cultivated—his grandchildren Emma, Kendall, Eli, Cole, and Wade, who were the light of his life. He often expressed that building a family was a pinnacle of joy for him, a proud accomplishment alongside finding his beautiful wife and creating a serene living environment out in the countryside.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Mariola Conti; his son, Marcus Conti, and daughter-in-law, Lacey; his daughter, Melissa Ritter, and son-in-law, Nathan; his sisters, Deborah and Tina Conti; his brothers, Michael and Daniel Conti, along with their wives, Kelly and Tracy; and Nicholas Conti. Additionally, Mike will be remembered by several nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart.
He joins those who have preceded him in death, including his father Angelo Conti, his mother Jean Conti, and siblings Joseph and Lisa Marie Conti.
Mike passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by what he loved the most—his family. As we gather to celebrate his life, we invite friends and family to remember him as the hardworking, devoted, and fun-loving person he was.
Visitation will be held on November 21, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, leading into a Celebration of Life at 6:00 PM at Stephenson & Gaskin Funeral Services, located in Matthews, NC. Here, we will honor Mike’s legacy of love, laughter, and companionship, and hold dear the memories that will forever bind us to him.
