Nancy Culp Hammond, 83, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 23, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbert P. Hammond, Sr. and her son, Gilbert P. "Geepy" Hammond, Jr. Nancy was born August 7, 1929, in Mecklenburg County, and was the daughter of the late Clyde Robert Culp and Lois Beatrice Garris Culp. She had been a life-long member of Ebenezer Associated Reformed Presbyterian Church in Charlotte and was a member of the Nel Schell Sunday school class and the Morning Circle. Immediate family members include her daughter, Angie Macemore and her husband, Jerry; her granddaughter, Rachel Alexis Macemore; her niece, JoAnne Dennis, all of Monroe; and her daughter-in-law, Nina Hammond, of Hickory. In addition to flowers, the family prefers memorials be made to Ebenezer ARP Church Cemetery Fund or the Cindy Mackie Foundation, 2049 Boyd Rd. Blackstock, SC, 29014. -
