Randall Eldon Odom

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]On April 18, 2021, at 5:08p.m., Randall Eldon Odom stepped into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  He was born on August 21, 1951.  Randall grew up in Oldsmar, Florida and graduated from Dunedin High School, Dunedin Florida. He attended Piedmont Bible College in Winston-Salem for a year before moving back to Florida. While back in Florida, he dated and later married the love of his life, Deborah Kay Seiver on December 16, 1972. They had known each other since she was 7 and he was 10. They were married 48 years. He attended Crichton College in Memphis, TN where he graduated with his Bachelor of Theology degree. He pastored 5 churches over 40 years in Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. During this time, he earned his Master of Science in Management, Master of Business Administration from Frostburg State University; Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree from Reformed Theological Seminary. He spoke in several bible conferences over the years. He led Civil War History tours with a Christian emphasis. He was a Godly husband, father and grandfather. He always stood in the pulpit with honesty and integrity, preaching the Word of a sovereign God in all of its entirety.  In addition to his wife Deborah, he is survived by a son, Ryan Odom and his wife, Reagan; a daughter, Whitney Mills and her husband, Billy; grandchildren, Skyelar and Caeleb Odom and Jon-Michael and Anderson Mills; Other family, Randy & Vickie Seiver and Dennis & Melinda Van Zant, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Ashley Nicole. A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Legacy Chapel of Hopewell Baptist Church, 420 Hopewell Church Road, Monroe, NC on Thursday morning at 11:30 preceded by a visitation with the family at 10:00, Dr. Lee Pigg officiating. The family is requesting that no flowers be sent for the funeral. Instead, they would like to request that you do something extra special for your own pastor or staff at your church, in memory of Randall, and then drop us a note or text to let us know what you did. The family is being graciously cared for by Gaskin Funeral Services.[/vc_column_text][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row]
