Raymond Howard Surratt, 81, of Mint Hill, passed away peacefully, at his residence, on Thursday, October 20, 2022.  He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Jean Thomas Surratt; daughter, Susan Duffy and her husband, Pat; son, David Surratt and his wife, Kelly and grandson, Ian Duffy.

Raymond was born in Mooresville, NC on June 6, 1941 to the late Ralph and Elsie Surratt.  Raymond graduated for Mooresville High School and Kings Business College.  He worked as an installation technician in the telecommunications industry for Southern Bell, Bell South, AT&T and Lucent Technology.  He enjoyed traveling and camping in his RV.  He also enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Sportsman’s Bassmaster’s fishing club.  

A visitation will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, October 27th at Blair Road United Methodist Church followed by a Celebration of Life & Faith service at 2:00pm.  Inurnment will take place immediately afterwards at Sunset Memory Gardens.

Charitable contributions may be made to the Bookbags of Love ministry at Blair Road UMC.
