CHARLOTTE, NC - Mr. Robert Query Alexander went to be with his heavenly father on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at the age of 92.

Bob was born July 1, 1928 in Charlotte, NC to the late Thomas Taylor and Mary Joye Alexander and was the last survivor of 12 brothers and sisters. He was drafted into the US Army in 1950 and, in 1956, married Betty Jo Jarrell, whom he shared his life with until her passing in 1983. Bob was in sales with Carolina Foods for 20 years before founding his own company, Star Vending. He also co-owned and operated The Clean Machine Car Wash, with his son, for 30 years. Bob was a very religious man and his family meant everything to him. He loved to share the word and always had a great story or joke to tell. Bob was affectionately known as “Paw Paw” to his family and was loved and admired by everyone that knew him.

He is survived by his children, Cathy Alexander Haney and husband, Mike and Bobby Alexander and wife, Lisa; 4 grandchildren, Winston Alexander Haney and wife, Jessica, Christa Leigh Haney, Erica Paige Alexander and Jessica Nicole Alexander; 2 great-grandchildren, Savanna Reese Haney and Emerson "Carlyle" Haney; and numerous nieces and nephews that were dear to his heart.

Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 15, 2021 at Sharon Memorial Park, 5716 Monroe Road, Charlotte, NC.
