Samie Laney Thomas

Samie Laney Thomas, 85, of Charlotte, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thomas. Born in Lancaster County, SC, her immediate family includes two sons, Larry Thomas and his wife, Debbie, and Terry Thomas and his wife, Kandice; grandchildren, Neal Thomas, Amy Purser, Joshua Thomas, and Marah Bolstad; eight great grandchildren, Chris Dixon, Abby Thomas, Chloe Thomas, Trey Thomas, Adam Purser, Luke Purser, Barret Bolstad and Cora Bolstad. Visitation will be 7pm until 8pm Friday, Dec. 8, 2017, at Gaskin Funeral Services, 14617 West Lawyers Rd. Matthews, NC 28104. Graveside services will be 12 noon Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd Charlotte, NC 28227. -
