Scott Thomas Graham was born on August 3, 1976 in Asheville, NC to Deryl Thomas Graham and Bonnie Williams Graham.
Scott spent his childhood in Spartanburg, SC and graduated from Spartanburg High School in 1995. He lived in the Carolinas throughout his adult life.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Melvin Thomas Graham and Peggy Funderburk Graham and maternal grandparents Joseph Henry Williams and Juanita Seay Williams.
He is survived by his daughter Ellagrace Heartly Graham; mother Bonnie Williams Graham; father Deryl Thomas Graham and stepmother Nova Nelson Graham; sister Amy Graham Snead and her husband John Hatcher Snead; uncle Melvin Franklin Graham and aunt Terri Pitman Graham.
A beloved father, son, brother and friend, he will be remembered as kind, charismatic, charming and quite the comedian. He never met a stranger, was always quick to lend a hand and knew how to put a smile on everyone’s face. He was strong in his faith and a lover of the beach, music and animals.
He passed unexpectedly on June 30, 2023 at 46 years old. He will be dearly missed.
His private committal service took place with immediate family members on July 3, 2023. A celebration of Scott’s life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Discovery Place Nature, a place where Scott and his daughter shared many special memories, or donate to the Matthews Help Center.
