Terry Reid Simpson, 66, of Hemby Bridge NC, passed away on Tuesday, May 23rd, 2023. 

He was born on January 5th, 1957, in Monroe, NC, to parents, James Washington Simpson (Dub) and Nancy Reid Simpson (Pressley). After graduating from Sun Valley High School in 1974, Terry began his career in landscaping. 

Terry was an entrepreneur and a master of his craft. He enjoyed a day out in the field rabbit hunting, as well as making runs for produce, pumpkins, and Christmas trees for his farmer’s market. He was a staple to the community of Hemby Bridge and surrounding areas. He always hustled and kept himself busy. Terry was also a family man and loved them dearly. He will truly be missed. 

He is survived by Carmel Lisa Simpson (Hargett), his wife of 47 years; by his sons Brian Simpson and Derrick Simpson; by his daughters, Ashley Simpson and Hannah Zinczuk and husband, Alex Zinczuk; and by his grandsons Travis, Layton, Johnathon and James. He also has a brother, Jim Simpson; and a sister, Rhonda Mullis.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2023 at First Baptist Church Indian Trail, 732 Indian Trail-Fairview Road, Indian Trail, NC. A graveside service will immediately follow at the church cemetery.
