THERESA DIGIOVANNI ALLEN, 77, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021.

She was born August 1, 1944 in New Orleans, Louisiana and was the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Philippine Geraci DiGiovanni. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, David Allen; and a sister, Lena DiGiovanni Fraychineaud and Lena's husband, Bob.

Theresa is survived by her nephew, Bob Fraychineaud, Jr. (Paula); niece, Joan Fraychineaud Dorman (Tim); great nephews, Zackary Fraychineaud (Kelly), Travis Fraychineaud (Meghin), and Jean-Paul Fraychineaud; and great-great nieces, Adaline and Luna Fraychineaud.

Theresa enjoyed playing the saxophone in high school, had an excellent memory and loved her family very dearly. Theresa loved her great, great nieces and worked for the City Hall of New Orleans for 20+ years until her retirement.

Theresa lived her entire life in New Orleans, until Hurricane Katrina. After the storm, she moved to Shreveport. In March of 2020, Theresa relocated to Matthews, North Carolina to live near her nephew and his family.

A brief graveside service will be held at 10:00 Monday, November 8, 2021 at St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery in New Orleans.
