William David Brinnier, IV (age 65) passed away in Matthews, North Carolina, on Monday, June 28th, 2021. William (formally known as Billy) was born in Kingston, New York and raised in Saugerties, New York. He spent the majority of his adult life (1987-2015) teaching collegiate psychology in both New York and North Carolina. Those who knew Billy knew how much he lived and breathed psychology. He was incredibly passionate and was known for his ability to have deep philosophical conversations. Billy was also a singer, songwriter and devoted guitar player. He loved classic rock and was a member of several different bands throughout his life. Billy was also a major sports fan, always rooting for his favorite team, the New York Giants! Although Billy grew up in Saugerties, his heart longed for the Adirondack Mountains. His favorite place was Brant Lake, New York, where he would often refer to as his home and his source of peace.
