In 2024 Gaskin Funeral Service was purchased by Joe Stephenson forming Stephenson & Gaskin Funeral Service. Joe is a native of Alabama and worked for several years in the funeral industry before enlisting in the US Army. Upon his retirement, Joe came back to the industry that he loved and continued to manage numerous firms both privately owned and corporate owned throughout South Carolina and North Carolina. Joe is dual licensed as a funeral director and embalmer in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Joe believed in the quality of service and dream that Wayne had for Gaskin Funeral Service and is honored to be able to continue his legacy with pride. Joe has three daughters, Ariana, Heaven and Harper.
